Say Hello to "Felicity" by Emily Taylor

Felicity pink (600x359)felicity blue (600x359)

(In stock in two weeks)

We welcome Emily Taylor to Riley Blake Designs.  Felicity is her debut line as a fabric designer. Emily hopes that “Felicity” inspires quilters to
have fun with their fabric!  The happy floral motif is reminiscent  of
Emily’s work as a mural artist.  For many years Emily painted
decorative accents in people’s homes, and her specialty was trompe
l’oeil-- a French term meaning “to fool the eye”.  Her bread and
butter came from painting gorgeous vines adorned with everything from
artichokes and acorns to berries and blossoms. “Felicity” not only
represents the vines she used to paint, but there is a hint of French
inspiration in the geometrics and the color scheme of the collection.
These days Emily is working hard to establish herself as a designer,
and enjoys working with fabric as much as paint!

What we love about Emily is that she is a very versatile designer as demonstrated by her second line Domestic Diva.   We would describe "Domestic Diva" as modern retro. From cupcakes to aprons, Domestic Divas really do it all!. You can view Felicity and Domestic Diva in their entirety by visiting our home page and clicking on coming soon under "fabric".

Thanks Emily! Emily is joining us at quilt market, drop by and meet her in Minnesota.

  • Love the polka dots and plaids thrown in with the prints. I have the entire collection of Be Merry and just finished a "soon to be" new bag pattern using Rainy Days and Mondays. Love the fresh and fun fabrics you offer.
