Quilt Market 2010

I know it is December and Quilt Market has long past, but finally I have a moment to post pictures of the show.

We have said it before and we will say it again, we love seeing old friends at market and meeting new ones.

Here is Jon and Anne Little from Sew and Save peeking through the round window. I could not resist taking their picture as they were waiting for the doors to open. And our booth was right in front of the entrance. We have known Jon and Anne for a very long time.  They used to travel to quilt market with Bret’s parents (Blake and Kathy).  Bret’s dad Blake owned fabric stores for 20 plus years before he went into the wholesale business. Actually, when Bret and I were dating one of our dates included inventory of his parents fabric store.

This was the front of our booth, showcasing Isabella by Lila Tueller.

The side view of our booth shows off Love Birds by My Minds Eye.

Here is Amanda of the Quilted Fish with Connie (Connie is a long arm quilter and machine quilts many of our Riley Blake Quilts) notice the white divinity by her side in a jar.

Amanda’s booth was directly across from ours.  She shared some divinity with us while she was setting up..that was her first mistake… her line is called Sweet Divinity thus the homemade sweet divinity candy.  Now the confession.  At 10:30 pm the day before market opened we headed back to our booth after a long day that included sample spree.   We could not help ourselves, we were so hungry that we raided Amanda’s stash of Divinity.  It was fantastic…nothing ever tasted so good.

Since Amanda was long gone, we could not help but keep eating and eating….

….more and more Divinity. We were all drawn to it like flies. Love this picture of Brian our Director of Sales. Here is Kim, Toni (and Jina below) enjoying divinity with me.

So thanks Amanda for the great Divinity, it made our night.

Samantha Walker designer of Enchanted Garden stands in front of her display.  We love the bright colors and check out the jacket made by Izzy and Ivy using Samantha’s Dot stripe.  We have almost completely sold out of this dot and you can see why.

Hooty Hoot by Shari Butler continues to be a big hit.  We have ordered this line three times.  A big shout out to Germany….they love Hooty Hoot Kangaroo.

A big welcome to Cyndi Walker of Stitch Studios.  Her debut line Daydream is for the classic quilter and Cyndi has many supporting patterns. Her color palette includes corals, greens and blues that coordinate beautifully together.  We met Cyndi last quilt market and fell in love with Daydream which is scheduled to arrive March 2011.

We cant help ourselves, we have to show off our major award!  (It is never a big deal till you win, right?)  Jina and I have told our staff that we are just showing up to merchandise next quilt market….since we are award winners no heavy lifting for us.  Lol, seriously it was unexpected, but much appreciated.
