Kindness of Strangers

A short time a go I happen to be in the grocery store with 2 of my kids, grabbing something for them to take to school (just before school.)  Of course I was in a hurry and we were running late and wouldn't you know that when I got up to the check stand and opened by purse, I discovered that my wallet was not there.  How embarrassing!  I quickly got on the phone to my husband and confirmed that yes I had left my wallet at the office, seconds later while I was still on the phone...a kind stranger flipped out a $20 and paid for my items.  I am sure I turned a few shades of red standing there stunned and stammering a Thank you while hanging on to my phone.  I was so taken back I was honestly speechless.  I followed him out to the parking lot and did not even get his name.  All he said was "my wife has done that before, don't worry about it.  Have a good Day"  Wow! with all that is going wrong in the world, there are so many things that are right.  Thanks to the kindness of strangers. I think that was the nicest random thing that anyone has ever done for me, and it left me very humbled and very grateful and pledging to perform my own random acts of kindness.

So there you go I want to do something random today and have a give-away. I want to hear from all of you about Kindness of Strangers. Post the kindest thing(s) you have seen a stranger do for you or have seen done for someone else. Big or small it all counts. I really don't want to make this about a give-away...but I do want hear from you and have a give-away. Post your comments by April 17th.

I will give away one fat quarter pack randomly and one fat quarter pack to my favorite post. Thanks in advance for sharing.  And a big Thanks to the stranger who paid for my groceries one early morning.
