Autism Awareness

Yesterday was World Autism Awareness, I think we all know someone that has been affected by Autism.  My nephew has autism and he was the catalyst for designing a new fabric line to bring awareness to Autism.   Pieces of Hope will be released late summer and we're donating a significant portion of the proceeds from the sale of this fabric line to Autism Speaks.

  6. Oh wow this is wonderful. My son and my nephew are both on the spectrum and my son was the reason I started my sewing business, when he was diagnosed I decided to use my love of sewing to try to raise money for the National Autistic Society here in the UK. This is very exciting :0)

  7. My 20 year old son has Asperger's Syndrome. It was not diagnosed until he was 17, though, so he has struggled with the stigma of "not app0lying himself" and is just now getting on track with his life. It really is a horrid disorder to cope with for all concerned. Love the fabrics!!!!

  8. My daughter, Lily, who is 7 & an inspiration to me and everyone around her. She has proven that individuals with Autism are amazing people who do amazing things and are NOT and should NOT be defined by their "diagnosis". Love that Riley Blake is stepping forward with such a positive message and support for all of us affected by Autism. I, too, will be purchasing this line!

  11. My 6 year old son has been diagnosed with autism. We love him so much and are working hard with him and have a great deal of support in the schools and medical care. We have high hopes that he will lead a fulfilling independent life someday! Can't wait for the fabric to be released.
