Hi, Maggie. Do get the free download, just go to www.aprilcobbdesigns.com/sewing-patterns/ and click on the first pattern available that has a picture of the hats. You must put them in your cart and go through the check out process. You will then receive an automatic email that will give you the link to download the free pattern. Enjoy the process. It is a fun project. -april
