Classes at the Creative Connection

The first class I took at the Creative Connection was "Romancing the Wristlet"  taught by Debbie Murray, Shea Fragoso and Heather Ales. Fantastic Class ladies! Debbie and Shea are a Mother and Daughter team that own the Gilded Life.

We started with a metal bracelet.  We used a decoupage method by ripping scrap book paper into strips and covering the bracelet.  Add netting over the dried paper...... Minnesota

Jina and I headed out of town for The Creative Connection Event in Minnesota which starts today.  Here is a picture of the Mississippi river out our hotel window.  I had forgotten that the Mississippi river begins in Minnesota.

A day to Remember

I wanted to write a little about 9.11.  It was a somber day of remembrance yesterday.  Our family lived in upstate New York when the tragedy happened. I did not know anyone personally that died, but my next door neighbor did.  My neighbor's friend had a son that worked at the world trade center. He was above where the plane hit and knew that he would not get out.  He was able to talk with his Mom before the collapse and say his goodbyes.  It still makes my heart ache to recall the events.

 I was invited to a get-together with a whole bunch of creative women from Utah. It was held at the Vintage Cupcake shop in Ogden, Utah   Yes, they had me at vintage. ...Here is Michelle, the owner of Vintage Cupcake Co.
