Here are the last of the pictures from Quilt Market....We introduced more Riley Blake Basics... Ombre Solids, Ombre Dots and Chevron Stripes. We have 8 colors of Ombre Solids and 8 Ombre dots and 10 Chevron stripes. Our first basics will arrive the end of January.  We also introduced 60 solids and 30 Shades (our blenders).

A new tutorial on Cutting Corners today by Sally Keller.  

This quilt uses Indian Summer fabric by Zoe Pearn. Yes Lori Holt's Daisy Cottage has arrived and we do like our pink....and pink likes us.

 But we wanted to show off our versatility... we can make fabric lines without pink.  Here is a sneak peak of Grandma's house by PaperLoft, due to arrive next month..look out the vintage keys (steampunk fashion meets quilting).  The next three quilts are free downloadable fabric patterns. Delighted Party

We had a delightful time at Amanda's launch party.  We made mini pincushions out of bottle caps....(which we will be making at the Spark event Friday night).

Everything in the room was decorated with her new line including this doll house put together by Amanda's husband. Welcome home Amanda.    The charm was in all of the details. "Steampunk"

One last word on our Florida trip.  "Steampunk"....raise your hand if you have ever heard the word "steampunk". Until last weekend I had not heard it either... then I met two sisters, Kitty and Jennifer.  They are the authors of this new book Steampunk Chic,  http://www.oneilsisters.com/   Their book teaches how to use vintage finds like keys, gears,  old clocks etc. and incorporate them in home decor items.

Southern Women's Show day 2

We had a great second day (Saturday for us) at the Southern Women's Show, teaching how to make zipper flowers.

Some ladies attended our Yo Yo making class the day before and came back for the zipper class. Others only came for zipper flowers....(Handmade fabric lanyards were provided) ... everyone had a good time learning a new technique. And Jina and I really enjoyed meeting these ladies. Southern Women's Show

It is warm and sunny in Orlando (sorry to rub it in my cold weather friends). How would it be to live here year round?  We had a great first day at the Southern Women's show and we taught our first class, Yo Yo wristlets. 

We had a few sewing pros in our class that whipped up their yo yos. We also had a lady that had never hand stitched anything in her entire life and we got to teach her how to make a handmade yo yo and watch her complete her first sewing project. What is more ... ...read more
