Project Design Team Wednesday: Clothes Peg Bag

30 May 2012

For years we lived in a Metropolitan city whereby clothes lines of any kind were strictly forbidden.  When we moved to wine country, one of the first things I asked... "can we have a clothes line?"  It would have been a deal breaker if the answer had been NO.    I have a clothes line lol.    SEW, I love clothes PEG bags, I have never found one I liked, all of them just a bit dowdy for me... I have made many of these in a slew of diff't colours, each year, I have a FAV.  THIS YEAR--- IT WILL ... ...read more

Ranch Quilt

29 May 2012

This photo cracks me up.  "Chip, The Wonder horse" is holding perfectly still while it appears (almost) that a quilt is floating above him(or her).   "Blueberry, the Super Dog" is sightly underneath the horse and gives a quick pause to look at the camera. How long it took to create this photo I don't know but I love it and I love the quilt.  The piecing and quilting are beautiful and with the added words this is a perfect gift for any cowboy in your life.

Shelly Pagliai (Polly-Eye) from Prairie Moon Quilts designed this quilt.  Visit Cutting ... ...read more

I love memorial day for so many reasons. It is a beautiful thing to have a day to remember our loved ones and to remember the men and women who have made great sacrifices for this country. Many have made the ultimate sacrifice.  On this special day we thank all persons who serve and have served in the United Forces of the United States of America.

(Coming soon-this quilt will be a Sew together project kit) Also, we love Kay Witt's dress patterns. I might have to make a green chevron dress for me.

We showed off all of our Chevrons in bags, umbrellas, clothing items and ties!  Lori Holt's Millies Closet fabric line displayed beautifully.  The possibilities are endless with this fabric.  Millies closet ... ...read more
