Hello fabric friends! My name is Amy Smart and I like to write about my adventures with fabric at my blog Diary of a Quilter. Today I am going to share with you a simple Patchwork Pumpkin project that you can put together quickly.   Hello Gingham Lovers!  It is a classic- gingham and straw hamper baskets. What's not to love? A covered basket, is ideal for your laundry, fruit, cats.... or  looks fine in your powder room for your towels... As this has been my year of anything and everything GINGHAM... Our staff was up bright and early each day and worked tirelessly...Jennifer (first on the left)...was our event planner. Colette (in the middle) was at the front desk during the entire event, helping out and answering questions. Jina helped plan so much of fabric fest too....GREAT JOB ladies. I am glad they had a little time to sit and take a break at the reception desk.

 Fabric Fest It's hard to believe Fabric fest was just 3 weeks ago. What started as an idea a few years back ended up being an amazing event for us and we hope for all our attendees. The venue was the perfect place for our first event. We said we wanted to roll out the red carpet for everyone…and the South Point Hotel just happened to have the red carpet… First on the agenda was an opening reception in our vendor hall.

Mystery Block of the Month is no longer a mystery

 Our quilts are finished! Are your Mystery blocks done..... then it is time to pull them together and finish your quilt.  Let us tell you how we finished ours.   First we added posts and sashing around the Mystery blocks. Cut:   Posts: 1 1/2 inch squares. Make 4 patches using scrap fabrics, create: 16- 4 patches   Sashing: 24- 12 1/2" long strips x 2 1/2 inches.   Sewing instructions: Sew end to end 4 posts to 3 white sashing strips, beginning with the (4 patch) posts. Repeat and to create 4 separate boarders.   Next, lay out quilt blocks in ... ...read more
