A special visitor today

We had a special visitor stop by our offices today, Mckinley (age 5) dropped in to show off her first quilt.  Just in kindergarten, she is off to a great start in quilting with the help of her mom and her Grandma. A Quick Trip to South Bend Indiana!

Hello everyone I hope you had a great weekend.   Our family had a little adventure this weekend, we took a trip to South Bend, Indiana.   What is in South Bend Indiana you might ask?   The beautiful campus of Notre Dame...Yes we went for a football game. It was cold...so cold in fact that it reached 30 year lows for the game.  But the Notre Dame fans were warm and welcoming.  It was wonderful to see the school spirit up close and personal! Back in September Elizabeth and I were able to attend Riley Blake's Fabric Fest in Las Vegas. Not only did we get to attend but we got to teach a class (on our favorite subject---drafting children's patterns) and participate in their Fashion Show!   A fashion show!!! (It was one of our favorite parts of Fabric Fest.) Hi Riley Blake Fabric lovers!  I am happy to be here sharing another project with you all.  This month I was able to get my hands on the beautiful LOVEY DOVEY COLLECTION by Doodle Bug.  This fabric, along with the buttons and trim made perfect embellishments for some cards I made.  Supply List: -Package of white cards and envelopes. -3 fat quarters of coordinating fabrics -coordinating trim and buttons -stiff fusible interfacing (thicker than wonder under) -digital craft cutter or scissors -sewing machine with matching thread I took three coordinating fabrics and ironed some stiff fusible interfacing on the back ... ...read more
