Sweetest Pin Cushion
Posted by BrookeS on Friday, December 21st, 2012
Hello, Brooke here from Silly Mama Quilts to share with you this week’s pin cushion. Hope you enjoy this cute, quick tutorial, perfect for the hectic pace of the holidays! The prints in the Sweetest Thing by Zoe Pearn are sure to brighten even the gray days!
Cut an assortment of 1.5 inch strips
I selected 7 different strips to sew together in a pleasing arrangement.
Next, cut the section 12.5 inches and finish the ends.
Fold tube in half right sides together and sew. To insure the ends match up I sewed a ways on each end before finishing the entire seam. Next, turn tube right side out.
Cut 10 inch piece of trim and tie it about 2 inches from one end.
Fill the tube with polyester fill and maybe some lavender to your desired fullness.
Tie another piece of trim 2 inches from the end.
Here is another view of my sweetest pin cushion! Enjoy and Happy Sewing!
