Hourglasses Quilt

This 70" x 84" quilt is called "Hourglasses", and was inspired by a quilt top made by my Great Aunt Mary many years ago, and recently finished by me. For my updated version, I’m using the “Good Life”  fabric line by Deena Rutter. This fabric collection is so absolutely adorable. The Riley Blake Laminates are perfect for this project! They are water resistant so they are easily wiped with a moist cloth. I found two stools at a yard sale- $7 for the set. Butterfly Pincushion

Cindy Cloward here and I'm excited to share with you my pincushion. I  love all things summer...everything, the hot days, the flowers, vegetable gardens (fresh fruit and vegetables-yum!) and I love the butterflies.

 I have planted a few butterfly bushes in my yard to attract these beautiful insects (which they have also attracted hummingbirds too!) ...so butterflies were my inspirations for my pincushion.   When looking for a good fabric to create my butterfly, Bohemian Festival by Lila Tueller is the perfect choice....the leaves look like butterfly wings.
