Art work and Artists

We Love working with My Mind’s Eye.  They always have great art which makes great fabric. Marcia, owner of MME and personal friend, has a fantastic eye for the latest trends in design and works closely with her staff to get just the right look.

Here is a picture of their booth this past CHA (notice doodlebug’s booth in the background).

They have a team of talented artists that provide them with beautiful and unique designs.

You might have noticed the names of artists with My Mind’s Eye fabric lines, and we wanted to introduce you to a few the artists that work with MME and work with us too. You can hop on over to our designer page and read more about them.

Penny Lane is our latest release by MME, and Deena Rutter is the designer. She also designed and collaborated on Wheels and Love birds. Deena has so much creative talent, she is a busy Mom, but still finds time to design. Her first independent line will be Happier due to be released in April.

Jen Alyson is a big part of MME.  She makes the Magic happen, and we work with her very closely. You could say there is a little bit of Jen in all of MME fabric lines because she has to prepare all artwork for fabric, changing scale, colors and working the repeats. She is very talented as a designer as well and created for MME Quite Contrary, Holly Jolly (due in May), and just released…. Lost and Found (due out in July).  Jen is expecting her first child in March.  It’s a boy!

Here is Zoe Pearn, our Australian Artist.  She has collaborated and created with My Minds eye….. Just Dreamy, All Star 1 & 2, Summer Song and Alphabet Soup (coming out this July).  She also has two independent releases Sweet Nothings in March and Indian Summer in August.  Zoe just had a baby girl in November and that makes two. We were sad to learn Zoe is currently displaced from her home and staying with family due to the big floods in Australia. We wish her well and hope she can return home as soon as possible.
