Nancy Zieman is an icon in the industry and a person I have long admired. I met Nancy several years ago at a conference we were both attending (The Creative Connection). I happen to be seated at the same table she was sitting at, at one of the workshops. After the workshop I introduced myself and we struck up a friendship that day. She is so genuine and is very personable.
Each quilt market Jina and I try and get together with Nancy and her assistant Deanna and talk fabriccollections. She has been very good to use Riley Blake fabrics in many of her new patterns (bags, quilts and other projects). We love seeing what she creates out of our fabrics…. love the bags!
I read her book over 4 months ago because an advanced copy was sent to our warehouse (Christensen Wholesale) unrelated to the blog tour.  So when I was asked to be on the blog tour of course I said yes….I had already read her book and found it incredibly inspiring.
What a life she has led. I really appreciated getting to know her better, from her own words. She has faced so much adversity, more than her fair share, and dealt with it with faith and dignity. What a great example of how to rise above your trials and go on to great success. It is such a universal story. It is a great read.
So do I think anyone would enjoy this book. Yes!
Nancy is giving away 20 copies, click here and find out how to enter a comment on Nancy’s blog to be eligible to win a book.
Thanks for stopping by and join us tomorrow as Jina and I introduce our next block in our Birthday Quilt-block of the month program.
